PATTERN DESCRIPTION

Loom knit a hat with a little whimsy...this hat features 2 star earflaps and easy colorwork (knit with 1 color at a time) to make wavy color patterns and vertical stripes!

Although shown in a Patriotic Color Theme this hat pattern is versatile and can be changed into a seaside theme (use cottage colors) or Starry Night theme (use blue, Gold, black) or a pretty pony theme for a little girl (use blue, purple, grey) or sports team colors. The color options are only limited by your imagination in this versatile hat, just choose any 3 colors of worsted weight. It is recommended that you choose a loom one size larger than your normal hat size as this hat has minimal stretch when finished.

LEVEL: Intermediate. Pattern key and schematic included.

Looms Needed: Teen/Small Woman; 48 peg, 5/8” gauge Loom. Med/Lg women/Sm. Men; 40 peg ¾” gauge (Knifty Knitter or equivalent, CinDWood equivalents also). This hat can be knit on any round loom with multiples of 4 pegs. NOTE: Hat knits (1) size small due to the color work (minimum stretch)

Sizing: This hat pattern is written for the teen to adult. It is up to the loomer to convert it to different size looms (the colorwork works on any loom with peg #'s in multiples of 4).
